As a newcomer, I just want to know is there any tips/things that I need to know about?
I also thought about posting my art here, I heard some people telling that posting art here is better that posting on instagram or Twitter. Is it true?

hello welcome! Here's some information which is usually helpful for new users :)
Newgrounds works by having portals. Games portal, movie portal, audio portal and art portal. These portals are where everything that approved artists post, goes. When you make a new account, you will automatically be not approved. You can get approved by posting your art and getting scouted by someone who has already been scouted/approved.
This is there to prevent spam, kids, and beginner artists from flooding the portal. Once you're an approved artist, your art can be featured/frontpaged. This happens when a staff member or moderator views your art and takes a liking to it.
